Who we are

Driving Force Academy is a driving school in Derby run by Zamir, a DVSA Approved Driving Instructor. We are responsible for the personal information described on this page. You can contact us at info@drivingforceacademy.co.uk or on WhatsApp.

What we collect, and why

  • Messages you send us. If you message us on WhatsApp or email us, we receive your name, phone number or email address, and what you write. We use this to reply, answer your questions and arrange lessons.
  • Learner details. If you become a learner, we keep the details needed to arrange and deliver your lessons, such as your availability and pick-up location, and the records needed for payments and accounts.
  • Photos and videos. We show some learners' photos and videos on this website and on our social media pages, only with the learner's permission. You can ask us to remove yours at any time.
  • Technical data. When you visit this website, our hosting provider processes technical information such as your IP address and browser type, in order to deliver the site and keep it secure.

Our legal bases

We handle your information to take steps you ask for before and during lessons (contract), to meet legal and accounting obligations, for our legitimate interests in running and securing the business, and, for photos and videos, with your consent.

Cookies

This website does not currently use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers. If we add any, we will ask for your consent first through a cookie banner and update this page.

Who we share information with

We do not sell your information. We use service providers to run the business, including WhatsApp (Meta) for messages, our email provider, and Cloudflare for hosting this website. The links on this site to WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook and Google open those services, which have their own privacy policies.

How long we keep it

We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above, including to meet legal and accounting requirements.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, and withdraw consent you have given. Contact us using the details above. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
