Your driving instructor
I'm Zamir, a fully qualified driving instructor in Derby with 36 years of driving experience behind me. I hold an MBA and spent over 20 years in retail management, working with people at every level and handling behaviour, disputes and HR issues. That is where I found out how much I enjoy working with people, and why I became an instructor: to help people become safe, confident and responsible drivers.
I believe learning works best when it is fun, so my lessons are calm, relaxed and friendly. I teach through live examples and real scenarios, and we solve problems together with questions and answers. I'm empathetic, I listen before I give my assessment, and I adapt my teaching style to you, whether you learn best by seeing, hearing or doing.
- Fully qualified Approved Driving Instructor (ADI)
- Lessons in my own dual-controlled cars: Audi A3 (manual) and VW Golf (automatic)
- Visual, auditory and hands-on learners all catered for
- Pick-ups from workplaces, colleges and the University of Derby

★★★★★I went from complete beginner to passing first time with 1 minor in 40 hours with no other practice. Zamir is knowledgeable, professional, and always maintained a safe and calm environment during lessons (even when I made some bad mistakes!).

★★★★★Passed first time with my instructor, Zamir. He was incredibly patient, yet also very focused and demanding in the best way. His approach really helped sharpen my driving skills across the board, making me a much safer and far more confident driver.
